This year it will be a one day event Saturday September 19, 2026 from 10am to 3pm. Come visit with the alpacas. Learn about their unique, inquisitive personalities! Feel their fleece and take pictures with them. Watch the alpacas interact, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Enjoy spinning and other fiber arts demonstrations. Shop the farm store for a variety of alpaca fiber, yarn, hand-knitted accessories, socks, and other alpaca products, and fun alpaca novelties. We`ll have cold beverages for sale. Bring your lawn chair or blanket, picnic basket & camera. This is a working ranch. Wear closed toe shoes and appropriate outdoor attire. No strollers please! Please no pets. Unfortunately, no restrooms are available. If you plan to bring a large group, please call ahead so we can plan for you. 707.290.7915. Saturday only - 9 AM to 3 PM.
Have been having fun dying fiber and creating batts. We do have natural-colored batts and rovings, too. Some silkworm cocoons, needle felt kits and core spun rug yarn created in our mill! Also will have alpaca fleeces available.
Meet the Alpacas—It’s Fun! Sept 26 from 10 am to 4 pm Join us for our 21st annual open house during National Alpaca Farm Days. Along with alpaca ranchers across the U.S. and Canada, we’re opening our ranch so you can meet our alpacas up close, walk through the pastures, and experience their gentle nature. Bring your camera for photos, learn about alpacas and ranch life from local ranchers, and enjoy demonstrations of spinning, weaving, and other fiber activities. You can also start your holiday shopping in our boutique, featuring alpaca apparel and products. Bring your knitting or crocheting and spend the afternoon with us. Can’t make it? Visit with our alpacas! This will be our 20th year hosting the event! You select which day and time works for your visit. We offer three ties each day - 10, 11 and noon. It is a rain or shine event. Plan on a half hour to an hour for your visit. It is $5 per person, ages 3 and over. We will have items available for sale. (Dryer balls, socks, scarves, yarn, hats and more) Over the weekend we will be working with fleeces, spinning, dying fiber and making dryer balls- Check out alpaca ranching! Please, no dogs. No public restrooms are available, and smoking or the use of any tobacco products are prohibited. Practice Social Distancing and follow any COVID guidelines that may be in place.

This year we have hand knitted beanies and scarves and some fun alpaca themed accessories and novelties. We'll have the amazing Alpaca Socks, and Alpaca Hats, Gloves, Scarves and Throw Blankets; Felted Alpaca Ornaments, and Alpaca shaped Goats Milk Soaps; Alpaca Dryer Balls, and Alpaca Cookie Cutters. And as always we'll be freshly stocked with Alpaca Yarn, Roving and Fleece in an amazing array of colors.. The event features over 60 craft & fiber booths, fiber competitions, seminars, workshops, the sheep show, sheep shearing competition and sheep to shawl competitions, great food & entertainment, all focused on fiber and fiber producing animals.
We will be participating in OPEN STUDIO'S NEVADA COUNTY WEST 1st Weekend only OCTOBER 10-11 from 11am-5pm. We'll be offering 3 tours each day, where you can meet alpacas. We also will be doing demonstrations of how we use alpaca fiber for a wide variety of art... including natural dyes from plants in our garden and fiber arts throughout the day. We have guest artists from Star Dust and Songs, offering pyrography art work by Carrie, and mixed media by artist Carolyn Napier. Other local artists will be here too! Alpaca Tours (free!) on Oct 10-11 are at 11:30am, and 1pm & 3pm. Natural Dye Demo: 12:30pm Soap Felting, Painting with (alpaca) Fiber, & Pyrography demo's throughout the day. Join us, along with many other crafters, for an early start on your holiday shopping. We will be located in the Gemperle building, in the loft area. We will be bringing many of our hand crafts produced by our alpaca herd. Shawls, scarves, socks, dryer balls and yarn! Free admission, get in the holiday spirit and enjoy a look at the Carnegie Arts Center 5pm to 9pm
Pageo Lavender Farm is hosting a market! 9 am to 3 pm. We are looking forward to joining this nearby facility with our alpaca dryer balls, felted soaps, woven shawls, scarves, hats, gloves, rugs and many other items made from our alpaca fiber.
